Gripping • • • • • (bewertet mit 5 von 5 Punkten) Finally a book that combines Williams' unique style of fairytale gone fantasy and his equally unique imagination to a perfect match. "War of the Flowers" lacks the long-windedness other books by the author frequently show and keeps a light tone for most of the time (regardless of the discord the story in itself is), only to plunge in a really dark - even shocking - climax. If you didn't like Williams' other books, you won't like this, too. Be forewarned: this is no epic fantasy, no sword & sorcery; though there's death and bloodshed, there are no (conventional) heroes, no battles described stroke by stroke. And yes, Williams botches one story-twist, as he seems to do in each of his books. Eine Rezension von Roax
