In their book, they give great hints for coaches in XP, Scrum or even Kanban teams. Their book is separated into four major parts. In the first part they discuss the basics for any coaching activity. Leading people and helping them grow is discusses in detail. In addition for Agile coaching the team building process is most relevant. The second part discusses how Agile teams plan their work and how the coach should help them therein. Standup meetings alongside with planning meetings for the release and the iteration are handled. Finally, keeping the planning and the progress visible through big charts and the team board is an issue discussed. The third part strives the quality criteria on Agile teams. The common search for the definition of "Done", test-driven development and clean code are topics handled here. The fourth and last part deals with reflection: customer demonstrations, retrospectives, and self-improvements. Thereby the four parts discuss to a great detail everything an Agile coaches will experience in their work. The book format introduces in each chapter into the material, digs into more details in the sub-chapters, and concludes each chapter with a list of hurdles an Agile coach may face alongside with a checklist for the reader to review the contents of the chapter. This format makes learning from it very compelling. In addition it's very easy to come back to the content starting in the checklist, dealing with the hurdles or taking a closer look in the table of contents in front of the book.
